R&B music has always had sex appeal. Everyone knows Marvin Gaye, but what about all other the newer artists that have had the same vibe? Nelly, Twista, Trey Songz, even Justin Timberlake. The music is slow and sensual, even calming. Music effects how we feel and our emotions and with their style of music it's ment to turn people on. The first time I actually listened to his music, I was fourteen. My friend and I were trying to find stuff to do, so we started listening to music. She introduced me to Kid Cudi. I loved him right from the first song I heard to the last. Kanye West signed Cudi in '08, but he went on to make his own record label called, Wicked Awesome Records. Kid Cudi has sold over 5.2 million digital singles and has worked with artists such as Jay-Z, Common, Mary J. Blige, David Guetta, Shakira, MGMT, Ratatat, Snoop Dogg and Michael Bolton. His current net worth is five million dollars, making him one of the richest rappers alive. The Reason I Chose This Topic

The reason I chose this topic is the simple fact that I've always liked music and it's been a big part of my life. I grew up listening to music. Music from the 90's reminds me of my mom, and how she always had the radio on. New Kids On The Block, Usher, always played in the car and the house. Music is all around you all the time, weather you allow yourself to hear it or not. Different people like all different types of music, a different taste. If you like the volume loud or low, or when you like to listen to music the most. I like to listen to music all the time, and it helps during awkward situations. Like the first day of college when you don't know anyone, and are sitting next to someone you don't know in the hallway. Or, when you just want to tune the whole world out for a while. People think of music in different ways; what do you think when you hear the work music? While most people think songs, artists, and album, some people think of instrumental music, or just vocal singing. Open your mind to new things and ideas. Expand your horizon.
